September 2007
The second month with the twins was an up and down one, trying to figure out what was going to work for us. Sleep was, of course, elusive, and I had a hard time getting them up into their own room. Breastfeeding was such a struggle, and by the end of the month, it was over. On the positive side, I started a great mom/baby class when they were five weeks old, and got very good at taking them out on my own. And we took walks around the local pond with other twin moms, quite a sight with our parade of double Snap n Go’s. My dad, stepmom and stepsister came for a visit; my in-laws came to our house for Rosh Hashanah; and my brother and sister-in-law came to meet their niece and nephew.
Still, it was largely still survival mode.

Daniel finds his thumb, though he never did become a real thumb-sucker.

Rebecca fills out a bit, though is still in newborn-sized diapers.

Tummy time on the Boppy pillows

Daniel's close-up

Rebecca finds tummy time exhausting, apparently.

All the pictures are so sweet! Love wide-eyed Daniel, and sweet Rebecca’s little open sleepy mouth? Too cute! (Go put your linky on Way Back When-esday! These images certainly qualify in spades!)

Great pictures. I especially love the boppy one. It reminds me of one from our kids when they were a couple months older and lifted their heads to stare at each other.
Off to flip through my photo album for a little while.
